Refunds and Cancellation

Last updated 6 September 2026

Plain-language summary: cancel whenever you like, in two clicks, without emailing anyone. If you paid recently and it did not work out, ask within 14 days and we refund it. There is a free plan precisely so you can find out before paying.

1. Cancelling

Open Billing in the app and choose to cancel. It takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, so nothing you paid for is taken away early. Until then everything keeps running: monitors keep checking, webhooks keep arriving, alerts keep being sent.

No notice period, no cancellation fee, and no requirement to talk to anybody. If the button does not work for you, email hello@saasfoundry.app and we will do it.

2. Refunds

If you are within 14 days of a payment and SaaSFoundry is not what you needed, email hello@saasfoundry.app and we will refund that payment in full. You do not have to justify it.

Beyond 14 days we do not refund a period already served, with one exception below. A yearly plan cancelled mid-term keeps working until the end of the year you paid for; we do not refund the unused months, which is why the monthly option exists.

3. When we refund regardless of the 14 days

  • We charged you after you cancelled.
  • We charged you twice for the same period.
  • The service was materially unavailable for a sustained part of a billing period — the thing you pay us to notice, we failed to do.

In those cases tell us and we will fix it, whether or not you ask for money back.

4. How a refund reaches you

Payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record, so a refund returns to the card or account you paid with, through Paddle. Their processing usually takes 3–10 business days depending on your bank; the delay is theirs, not a decision of ours. Paddle also handles VAT and sales tax, including on refunds.

5. Downgrading instead

You can move to a smaller paid plan or to the free plan rather than leaving. The change applies at the next renewal, and Paddle prorates where it applies. The free plan keeps three monitors running at five-minute intervals, indefinitely.

6. Your data after cancelling

When a subscription ends, the account drops to the free plan rather than being deleted: monitors above the free limit are paused, not destroyed, and captured webhook events age out according to the free plan's retention. Nothing is deleted the moment you cancel.

If you want the account and its data gone entirely, delete it in Settings, or ask us. Deletion is permanent and immediate — we cannot restore it afterwards, so export anything you want to keep first.

7. Payment failures

A failed payment does not lock you out on the spot. Paddle retries for a while, and the plan stays active during those retries — an expired card is not a reason to stop watching somebody's production systems mid-month. If the retries run out, the account moves to the free plan.

8. Asking

Email hello@saasfoundry.app with the email address on the account. See our contact page for what to expect. We answer refund requests within two business days.
