Billing questions
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The free plan needs an email and a password, and it stays free forever — 3 monitors checked every 5 minutes, SSL and domain expiry warnings, email alerts, and one webhook endpoint.
How is this different from UptimeRobot or Pingdom?
For plain uptime checks, honestly, not much — that part is a commodity and we are not pretending otherwise. The difference is the other direction: we also monitor the webhooks arriving at your app. Everyone can tell you your server answered. Almost nobody tells you Stripe stopped calling it.
How quickly will I hear about an outage?
Within one check interval plus your failure threshold. On any paid plan that is two minutes: we check every minute and alert after two consecutive failures, so a single dropped packet never wakes you at 3am.
Where do you check from?
One region, in Europe. That is a real limitation and we would rather say it than bury it: we will tell you your service is unreachable from our network, not that it is unreachable from every network. Multi-region is on the list.
What happens if I go over a limit?
Monitors past your plan's allowance simply cannot be created — nothing is deleted and nothing silently stops. For webhooks, past the monthly event cap we return 429 to the sender until the 1st. Upgrading lifts both immediately.
Can I cancel?
Any time, from the billing page, in two clicks. You keep your plan until the end of the period you already paid for, then drop to free — your account, monitors and history stay.
Is yearly billing worth it?
Two months free, so about 17% off. It also saves us a chunk of payment fees, which is the honest reason we can offer it.
